We at Blable Farm Barns are committed to keeping our visitors safe and we always make sure that our Barns are thoroughly cleaned between guests. However, we have added some extra measures to reflect the current situation, and for your peace of mind, here are details of our cleaning procedures which have been written in line with enhanced protocols developed for the tourist industry.
We will ask you to play your part too, and below are details of what we need you to help with:
On arrival
Please note and adhere to the new check-in time from 6pm. Please avoid arriving earlier than this and we have provided hand sanitising gel on the Parlour outside wall (please supervise children) to be used each time before entering the property.
We value a personal approach and enjoy greeting our guests when they arrive. However, we will be limiting this contact time and the Barn will be left unlocked with the keys inside the property.
If you become ill
If, during the 14 days leading up to your arrival here, you or a member of your group have a positive Covid-19 test, become ill with symptoms, or are required to self-isolate under the Test & Protect scheme, please do not travel. In line with our Covid-19 Booking and Conditions Policy you will be refunded in full, or an alternative date arranged.
If at any time during your stay you or any other member of your party develop any symptoms of Covid-19 (high temperature, persistent cough, loss of taste or smell), or are informed that you must isolate you MUST inform us immediately, check out and return home. In line with our Covid-19 Booking and Conditions Policy you will be refunded the days of your remaining stay.
If you develop acute symptoms, please dial 999 and inform us immediately.
If you become ill within 14 days of returning home, you MUST let us know please
Cancellations
Cancellations made prior to your stay, as a result of Covid-19 illness or Government restrictions, will be refunded in full, or an alternative date arranged.
If at any time during your stay you develop symptoms of Covid-19 (high temperature, persistent cough, loss of taste or smell) or are informed that you must isolate you MUST inform us immediately, check out and return home, you will be refunded the amount of nights you have lost. If you become ill within 14 days of returning home, you MUST let us know please.
BLABLE FARM BARNS CLEANING PROTOCOL
Guests please use the sanitising hand gel (please supervise children) located on the outside Parlour wall and outside play equipment before entering your property. Inside we have provided sanitising hand wash at each sink to please wash your hands frequently. Please bring any other items you may require such as extra hand sanitiser, gloves, face covering etc. according to your own circumstances.
We will be supplying bed linen and the beds will be made for your arrival. If you choose to bring your own please let me know before.
Guests please now strip your own beds (pillow cases, duvet covers & sheets) fold into the white plastic bags provided in each bedside table and leave the tied bags by the downstairs inside door entrance. We also now ask you to bring your own bath towels, tea towels and oven gloves.
We will supply bath mats.
Kitchen
We will be cleaning all surfaces likely to be touched including light switches and electric sockets, will be washed with hot soapy water, then sprayed with antibacterial cleaner & sanitiser.
Small items such as salt & pepper, washing up liquid bottle etc. will also be washed and disinfected. Guests please make sure all glasses, dishes, pots, pans & cutlery are washed in dishwasher at 60 degrees and not unloaded before departure to avoid contamination. For simplicity and safety, we have removed extra items normally supplied.
Please take away or dispose of all left over food & drink.
For the safety of all please follow instructions about disposal of waste.
Sitting/Dining Area
We will be cleaning all hard surfaces likely to be touched including light switches and electric sockets which will be washed with hot soapy water, then sprayed with antibacterial cleaner & sanitiser. The wooden areas will be washed with hot soapy water to preserve their surfaces. We have removed soft furnishings such as cushions and other decorative items throughout the property for simplicity and safety.
TV & DVD remote controls are supplied with protective covers which will be washed and disinfected.
Guests please note we have removed leaflets, DVD’s, books, maps, games etc. The physical
information folder will be removed, but please find attached the information folder in pdf version for you to refer back to during your stay. In addition our website www.blablefarmbarns.co.uk has information on the local area, attractions & eating places. Please note that pre-booking of eating places and visitor attractions will be essential.
Bathroom
We will clean and disinfect very thoroughly to our normal rigorous standards.
Guests please empty the bathroom waste bins into the general waste.
Bedrooms
All hard surfaces likely to be touched will be washed with hot soapy water and sprayed with antibacterial cleaner and sanitiser as appropriate. Beds will be made on your arrival; all bed linen will be washed at 60 degrees.
Guests please strip your bed linen (pillow cases, sheets and duvet covers) fold in to the bag provided in each bedside cupboard, tie and leave by the downstairs door entrance.
Please remember that we will not be supplying towels and please remember to take all your items such as clothes, towels etc. home with you.
Also, the bedroom bins will also need to be emptied in the general waste.
Guests at the end of your stay please ensure that all waste has been removed from the barn, either to the recycling area in the Parlour (glass, paper, cardboard, plastic containers and cans) or the green wheelie bins, remembering to have used the hand sanitising gel on the outside wall before entering the parlour each time.
Please note and adhere to the new check out time of 9am and check in time of 6pm, to help us adhere to the extra cleaning measures safely.
